| Description | The ease with which Ben Paterson swings at high tempos is incredible. I believe he is one of the few pianists who incorporated Oscar Peterson's style in a way that doesn't sound like a copy. Here he plays 'My Shining Hour' with Jake Vinsel on bass, composed by Harold Arlen, with lyrics by Johnny Mercer. There are 2 passages (m.137-144 and m.153-158) where I couldn't make out entirely what Ben played. He plays very fast and doesn't press some keys all the way down (which is understandable, considering the speed he plays with). The notes that you see in parentheses ”( )” are either notes I'm not sure were played or some personal additions. The notes you see with 'x' are ghost notes.
